The United Socialist Republic of the Stapler will soon be conducting official photographs for the government website. Currently, there are no images of our leaders online, and these photos will allow citizens to familiarize themselves with the faces of their government representatives and foster a stronger connection between the people and their leadership. While the exact date for the photo session has not yet been determined, all participants will be notified well in advance once it is finalized. Your cooperation and attention to detail are essential to ensuring the photos are professional, uniform, and reflect the dignity of our Republic. To maintain a polished and consistent appearance, all participants are expected to wear formal attire.

Dress Code Guidelines:

• Men: Floor-length suit pants, a white button-down shirt, a black belt, black dress shoes, and a black suit jacket (a vest is optional). To include the required element of red, a red tie should be worn.

• Women: A black knee-length dress (sitting height should maintain modesty), black flats or heels (open-toed shoes are acceptable), and a red belt, scarf, or headband shall be worn to incorporate the required accent of red. 

Adhering to these guidelines will ensure a uniform, professional, and visually cohesive set of photographs that properly represent the leadership and formality of the USRS. Your participation in this process is vital to presenting our nation proudly to our citizens and the world.

USNC Teritorial Disputes Continue (March 11, 2026)

The United Socialist Republic of the Stapler confirms that the United Sovereign Nation of the Cheese (USNC), led by President Olson Miller, has reclaimed the Montana territory—approximately 200 acres including a dairy farm—that had previously been transferred to the USRS as a gesture of goodwill and diplomatic cooperation. At the time of the transfer, the USRS understood the territory to have been granted permanently as a symbol of trust and strengthening relations between our nations. No indication was provided that the land was being transferred under a temporary lease arrangement. Recent statements from the USNC have since characterized the agreement as a “lease,” a condition that had not been previously communicated to our government. The situation intensified following intelligence disclosures regarding internal matters within the USNC. After considerable pressure and backlash from USNC leadership, the USRS informed them that an individual had been providing information to our government; however, no name was disclosed at that time. Shortly afterward, USNC leadership announced its intention to annex and reclaim the Montana territory, citing the alleged lease terms. In addition, the USRS has become aware that the USNC is seeking to include language in a proposed permanent treaty that would formally recognize the Montana Territory as belonging to the USNC. The government of the USRS has expressed concern over this effort, as it would effectively attempt to codify its interpretation of the land agreement despite the ongoing dispute regarding the original transfer. The USRS maintains that the territory was accepted in good faith as a permanent diplomatic gift, and that the differing interpretations of the arrangement have created an unexpected diplomatic conflict. At this time, the United Socialist Republic of the Stapler continues to recognize the Montana territory as sovereign USRS land. It will maintain it as one of our states in official records and communications. Despite these developments, the USRS remains committed to peaceful dialogue, transparency, and regional stability. Our government continues to prioritize sovereignty, fairness, and responsible diplomacy as we work toward a resolution of this matter.

Alliance With The United Sovereign Nation of the Cheese (March 4, 2026)

The United Socialist Republic of the Stapler announces that the original treaty proposal put forward by our government will be formally signed today. This marks an important step toward stabilizing regional relations and reinforcing a commitment to structured diplomacy. The agreement being signed is intended to serve as a stopgap treaty—a temporary but binding framework designed to maintain peace, define expectations, and prevent further misunderstandings while a more comprehensive and permanent treaty is developed. Both parties have acknowledged that additional discussion and refinement are necessary to ensure that long-term arrangements reflect the concerns, priorities, and sovereignty of each nation. To that end, work has already begun on drafting a more detailed and enduring agreement. This forthcoming treaty will be written by Milo and will incorporate the voiced concerns and interests of both governments to promote fairness, clarity, and lasting stability. The signing of this interim agreement demonstrates the USRS’s continued dedication to diplomacy over escalation and structure over uncertainty. By establishing a temporary framework now, both nations create the space necessary for careful negotiation and responsible statecraft moving forward The United Socialist Republic of the Stapler remains committed to transparent governance, peaceful resolution of disputes, and the construction of long-term agreements that safeguard regional stability and mutual respect.

USRS Expands Global Outreach and International Engagement (March 2, 2026)

The United Socialist Republic of the Stapler continues to expand its presence on the international stage following the official launch of our national website. This milestone represents a deliberate step toward increased transparency, global collaboration, and diplomatic engagement. The website serves as a central hub for information, communication, and state affairs, enabling the USRS to connect with potential allies, trade partners, and international organizations. By presenting the Republic’s initiatives, achievements, and policies to the world, we strengthen our position as a forward-looking, cooperative, and resilient nation. In addition to the website launch, the USRS has established an official subreddit to foster public communication, civic engagement, and open dialogue within the online community. This platform allows citizens and international observers alike to stay informed about developments within the Republic and participate in constructive discussion. Diplomatic outreach continues on multiple fronts. The USRS is currently engaged in discussions with the Republic of Molossia regarding potential cooperation and mutual recognition. Formal outreach has also been extended to the Principality of Sealand and the Kingdom of Talossa as part of our broader strategy to build lasting international partnerships. We are also currently working toward the formation of an alliance with a Singaporean micronation, reflecting the USRS’s commitment to expanding diplomatic relationships beyond our immediate region and engaging with a diverse network of emerging states. At the same time, discussions remain ongoing with the Democratic Republic of Egg. While we are presently awaiting a formal response, we remain open to dialogue and hopeful for constructive engagement. Through these coordinated efforts, the Republic seeks to expand its influence responsibly, safeguard its citizens, and reinforce a network of cooperative nations founded on mutual respect, shared values, and long-term stability.

Karter's Nation Officially Gains Support From the USRS (March 2, 2026)

The United Socialist Republic of the Stapler is closely monitoring and actively supporting the efforts of Karter Taylor as he works to establish his own new nation. Once formally recognized, his state will become the fourth nation formed following the creation of the USRS, reflecting the growing regional influence of our Republic. Recognizing the importance of strong and stable regional partnerships, the USRS has committed to providing both strategic aid and military support to ensure that Karter’s emerging government can operate effectively and sustainably. We have formally pledged to protect his nation and its sovereignty, affirming that we will stand in defense of our ally should any threat arise. In addition to this pledge of protection, active planning discussions are currently underway. The USRS and Karter Taylor are preparing to draft and sign a formal treaty and combat agreement in the near future. This agreement is expected to outline mutual defense commitments, coordinated security measures, and structured cooperation between our nations. Preliminary discussions have already established a foundation for collaboration, including a non-aggression pact and frameworks for shared and distributed resources. These arrangements are modeled after prior failed agreements with the USNC and are designed to promote fairness, stability, and long-term partnership. While broader regional dynamics remain in development, the USRS continues to prioritize constructive diplomacy, regional security, and mutual growth. This initiative further demonstrates our commitment to fostering peace, supporting emerging nations, and strengthening alliances through deliberate planning and strategic cooperation. 

-Update: We are currently in talks about our alliance and how we shall respect each other as developing nations. We have also agreed that we will be in the meeting and discussion for when he does design he constitution. Once his nation is established, we will be at a Constitutional Convention-style meeting to discuss and help him make his constitution. This move is aimed at promoting regional stability and national preservation, and represents the ongoing efforts to gain support in the micronational world.

Welcoming Parker After He Was Removed and Stripped of All Honor in the UNSC (March 2, 2026)

The United Socialist Republic of the Stapler proudly announces that Parker Whitmoyer has been formally welcomed into our nation. His actions, undertaken at significant personal risk, demonstrated a level of courage and conviction that reflects the highest ideals of integrity and moral responsibility. Parker’s decision to provide information regarding internal matters within the United Sovereign Nation of the Cheese came at great personal cost. In doing so, he knowingly jeopardized his position and standing. Regardless of the diplomatic consequences that followed, the USRS recognizes that such actions require bravery, resolve, and a willingness to stand by one’s principles. The Republic affirms that individuals who act out of conscience and seek fairness and transparency deserve protection and respect. For this reason, Parker has been granted the opportunity to live safely and comfortably within the USRS. Our government is committed to ensuring that he is treated with dignity and provided the stability necessary to move forward. While recent events have introduced tensions in regional relations, the USRS remains focused on safeguarding those who align themselves with our values of loyalty, honesty, and cooperation. USRS Raises Concerns Over Reported Constitutional Policies in the USNC  (March 11, 2026)

The government of the United Socialist Republic of the Stapler has expressed serious concern regarding provisions reportedly written in the constitution of the United Sovereign Nation of the Cheese (USNC). According to the document, certain policies address how children born outside of marriage would be handled and include restrictions on reproduction for individuals with specified genetic conditions. Officials within the USRS believe that policies involving the forced separation of children from their parents or restrictions on family decisions raise significant ethical and human rights concerns. The Republic maintains that decisions regarding family life, child welfare, and parental responsibility should respect the dignity, privacy, and rights of individuals. The United Socialist Republic of the Stapler has reaffirmed its position that the protection of both children’s rights and parental rights is a fundamental principle of its governance. The government emphasizes that family matters should be approached with compassion, fairness, and respect for personal freedoms. USRS Launches National State and Public Service Seal Design Initiative (March 11, 2026)

The United Socialist Republic of the Stapler has officially announced the National State Seal and Public Service Seal Design Initiative, a public effort to create a new official seal that will represent the Republic in government, diplomacy, and international affairs. The State Seal will serve as one of the most important symbols of the nation. Once selected, it will appear on all official government documents and serve as the Republic's formal mark in diplomatic communications, treaties, and international alliances. Because of its importance, the government has chosen to involve the people directly in designing this symbol of national identity. In addition to the national seal, the initiative will also include the design of departmental and governmental seals that will represent the various institutions that serve the Republic. These will include seals for major military branches such as the Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Army, as well as a seal representing the Advisors to the government. Furthermore, official seals will also be designed for the Executive Branch, Legislative Branch, and the Congressional body of the United Socialist Republic of the Stapler. These seals will help distinguish the functions of each department while maintaining a unified national style. This initiative also marks a deliberate move away from the previous seal that originated during the early days of the former United Communist Republic period. That earlier design was generated using artificial intelligence and does not fully reflect the effort, creativity, and pride that should be present in a symbol representing our nation. The USRS believes that a seal representing our Republic should be created by the people themselves, rather than generated automatically. For this reason, submissions must be designed by hand or created directly by the citizen submitting them. Artificial intelligence may be used only as a tool to help find design websites or to gather inspiration, but AI-generated seals themselves will not be accepted as final submissions. While the seal must be original, several elements and guidelines have been proposed to maintain continuity with the nation’s identity:

• The design should maintain a Soviet-style emblem format, reflecting the Republic’s socialist roots.

• The national motto “Populus Unitus Invictus” must remain included in the design.

• The seal should incorporate a stapler, which has become a symbol of national pride and unity within the United Socialist Republic of the Stapler.

• The color red is encouraged, though not strictly required, as it already appears prominently in the nation’s flag and official documents.

By launching this initiative, the USRS demonstrates its commitment to public participation in government symbolism and national identity. The program allows citizens to directly influence how their nation is represented both internally and to the broader micronational community. More importantly, the initiative reflects the Republic’s dedication to promoting original, human-created work and ensuring that the symbols of our nation are crafted with intention, effort, and pride. The UNSC makes a religion worshiping a Cheese Symbol Called "Cheesus Christ" (March 10, 2026)

The government of the United Socialist Republic of the Stapler has released a statement regarding recent developments within the United Sovereign Nation of the Cheese (USNC). According to public information and announcements from the USNC, a fictional religious figure referred to as “Cheesus Christ” has been introduced as part of a newly created cultural or religious concept within that nation. The USRS government does not formally recognize this concept as a legitimate religion and has expressed concern about its potential implications. In particular, officials have noted that the name and imagery associated with the figure closely resemble references to Jesus Christ, which may be interpreted by some individuals as a parody or mockery of Christianity. Anti-AI Push From the Government of the United Socialist Republic of the Stapler (March 10, 2026)

The Office of the President of the United Socialist Republic of the Stapler has announced a new policy regarding the use of artificial intelligence in official national design initiatives. Effective March 10, 2026, AI-generated designs will no longer be permitted in government-led projects involving national symbols, including the creation of currency, seals, flags, and other official visual representations of the Republic. This decision was made in order to ensure that the symbols of the nation are created through the effort, creativity, and participation of the people themselves. The government believes that national emblems should reflect the identity and dedication of the citizens who design them, rather than relying on automated systems. While AI may still be used by citizens to research ideas or locate tools and design platforms, final submissions for official projects must be original works created by hand or directly by the designer. The policy was also influenced by developments in neighboring micronations, where artificial intelligence has reportedly been used extensively in national projects ranging from constitutional writing to the creation of national symbols and fictional cultural figures. In response, the USRS leadership has chosen to move in a different direction—one that emphasizes human craftsmanship, originality, and civic involvement. The United Socialist Republic of the Stapler has officially launched a national currency design initiative, for the currency, the Staple, inviting citizens to help create the visual identity of our future domestic currency. This project will support in-country purchases and trade while strengthening the economic and cultural identity of the Republic. At this time, the government is requesting proposed designs for the following denominations:

• 1 Dollar bill

• 5 Dollar bill

• 10 Dollar bill

• 20 Dollar bill

• 50 Dollar bill

• 100 Dollar bill

In addition to artistic design, each bill must be tied to a natural resource with a fixed value that will serve as the backing for the currency. This requirement reflects the Republic’s commitment to a stable and grounded economic system based on tangible national resources. Citizens submitting designs are encouraged to incorporate imagery that represents the character and values of the USRS. Examples may include:

• Animals identified during the national wildlife survey

• Important leaders or founders of the Republic

• Symbols representing unity, cooperation, and national strength

• Elements of our land and environment

To ensure the authenticity and creativity of the project, AI-generated bill designs will not be accepted as final submissions. While artificial intelligence tools may be used to gather inspiration or locate websites and tools for designing currency, the final design must be original work created by the citizen submitting it. The Republic believes that the symbols representing our nation’s economy should be created by the hands and creativity of its people. This initiative gives citizens a direct role in shaping one of the most visible symbols of national identity. Through collaboration and creativity, the USRS aims to develop a currency that reflects the strength, values, and character of our Republic. National Survey Initiative Launched to Assess Land and Wildlife (March 4, 2026)

The United Socialist Republic of the Stapler has officially launched a nationwide survey initiative, deploying representatives from the majority of our states to assess local land conditions and wildlife populations. This coordinated effort reflects the Republic’s growing commitment to environmental awareness, responsible stewardship, and informed national planning. The purpose of the survey is twofold. First, it allows our government to better understand the condition of our surrounding lands—particularly agricultural areas and natural habitats—so that appropriate support and conservation measures can be implemented where needed. By gathering accurate information about wildlife populations and ecosystem health, the Republic can take thoughtful action to ensure balance and sustainability. Second, this initiative will help select national animals that embody the values, beliefs, and character of our country. By studying the species that thrive within our territory, we aim to choose symbols that genuinely represent our resilience, unity, and connection to the land. This effort demonstrates that the USRS is not only focused on diplomacy and governance, but also on caring for the natural environment that surrounds and sustains us. New Flag Design Proposal for the USRS (March 4, 2026)

The Office of the President of the United Socialist Republic of the Stapler has officially unveiled a newly designed national flag. This decision follows an internal review regarding the previous flag’s visual similarities to those of the former Soviet Union. Recognizing the importance of originality and a distinct national identity, the President has taken decisive action to ensure that the symbolism of our Republic reflects our own values, history, and future aspirations. The newly proposed flag represents a fresh chapter for the USRS. It has been designed to stand as a unique and independent emblem of our sovereignty, unity, and national character. In keeping with the Republic’s commitment to civic engagement and participatory governance, citizens are invited to take part in the selection process. A public vote will be held to determine whether the new design will officially replace the previous flag. Additionally, citizens are encouraged to submit their own original flag designs for consideration. Submissions may be created using the online design platform available at: https://flag-creator.com/. Below, viewers will find a side-by-side comparison, with the previous flag displayed on the left and the newly proposed design displayed on the right.
